At Story Alchemy Editing, your satisfaction is important to me. If you are dissatisfied with the feedback, suggestions, or corrections provided, please reach out within 30 days of receiving your completed edit. I’ll be happy to discuss your concerns, clarify the rationale behind the editorial choices made, and answer any questions about our collaboration to the best of my ability.
Editing is, by nature, a subjective and nuanced process. Opinions, experience, professional standards, and reader expectations vary widely. Writers are not required to accept all feedback, nor should they—your voice and vision remain yours to protect. As your editor, my role is to guide and support your craft with industry insight, genre familiarity, and a reader’s eye, but the final say always belongs to you.
Each manuscript receives in-depth, individualized attention over many hours and often several weeks. The total cost of your editing service reflects this significant investment of time and professional expertise. Unless otherwise specified in your editorial agreement, services are not priced as flat-fee products and are therefore generally non-refundable.
That said, if a concern arises, I am committed to hearing it with care and respect. Resolutions may include additional editorial work, a discount on future services, or a partial refund, depending on the circumstances. Any resolution must be agreed upon in writing by both parties. For concerns or questions, please contact me here.
Please note the following:
Story Alchemy Editing cannot and does not guarantee representation, publication, or positive reception by readers.
I am not responsible for changes in publishing trends, market competitiveness, or reader preferences.
While every effort is made to deliver meticulous, high-quality work, no edit is guaranteed to be 100% error-free. Additional passes may be required for a manuscript to reach its highest polish.
Thank you for trusting Story Alchemy Editing with your work. Your story matters, and I’m honored to be a part of its journey.
